Everyone knows a camp marches on its stomach – which is why Lord Somers has developed a healthy eating program.
Each meal is delicious and nutritionally balanced to ensure the Camp’s guests are fuelled up and ready to thrive during their busy time at Somers.
Our chef designs meals using the best, seasonal, fresh ingredients, avoiding convenience and processed foods which lack vitamin and nutrient content and are typically digested too fast or too slow for optimum nutrition. The Camp does not own a deep fryer.
Our kitchen has the flexibility to cater for all dietary and religious requirements while maintaining constant vigilance in relation to allergies and food intolerances.
Where possible we buy local produce, grown or hand-produced on the Mornington Peninsula to support local growers and reduce food miles.
